Glasgow Central and Queen Street are the main rail stations serving the City Centre.

Glasgow Central is the largest and it is from here that the main line trains to the south operate. There are regular trains to Manchester, Birmingham and London that also pass through the main towns and cities of the English West and East Coast.

Queen Street station is situated North of George Square. It is the destination for trains from the North of the City and throughout Scotland, regular services run to all the major cities in Scotland as well as the scenic route up to Mallaig and Fort William. For national ticket prices call the National Enquiry Service +44 (0)845 748 4950 or log onto www.railtrack.com for latest national and local timetables.

Glasgow also has a large and comprehensive suburban rail network to all the areas of the City. This is a cheap and fast way to get across town. More details can be found at www.scotrail.co.uk.

The Glasgow Underground provides an excellent service for people wishing to travel to areas in the South, Centre and West of the City. For a map of the City's simple underground system click here.
